Privacy Policy

The short version: Ziksa Kids collects nothing. The app has no internet permissions, no analytics, no advertising, and no user accounts. Nothing your child does inside the app ever leaves your device.

1. Who we are
Ziksa Kids ("the app") is operated by Ziksa, a small independent operation based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. You can reach us at hello@ziksa.in for any questions about this policy.
2. What data we collect
We collect no personal data from you or your child. Specifically:
- We do not ask for any account, email address, name, or phone number.
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data.
- We do not include any third-party analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no Mixpanel, etc.).
- We do not include any advertising SDKs.
- We do not record voice, video, or photos from your device.
- We do not access contacts, calendars, microphones, or cameras.
3. What is stored on your device
The app stores a small amount of information locally on your device — never sent anywhere. This is limited to:
- A "star count" representing how many correct answers your child has tapped, used to show a number in the top corner.
This information is stored using the standard browser/Android local storage mechanism. It can be cleared at any time by clearing the app's data in your phone settings, or by uninstalling the app.
4. Permissions the app uses
Ziksa Kids requests no special Android permissions. The app does not request internet access, location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage. If a future update needs a permission, we'll explain why before requesting it.
5. Third-party services
The app itself does not communicate with any third-party services. It is a fully offline application.
However, when you download the app from the Google Play Store, Google may collect data about that download according to Google's own privacy policy. This is outside our control. Similarly, our website (ziksa.in) loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of the font request — this is the only third-party request our website makes.
6. Children's privacy
Ziksa Kids is designed for children aged 2 to 5 years. Because the app collects no data at all, it is compliant with:
- The U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
- The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including provisions for children
- India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)
- Google Play's Families Policy and "Designed for Families" requirements
Since we collect nothing, there is nothing for parents to request, correct, delete, or opt out of. Uninstalling the app removes everything.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the new version here. We will not start collecting data without first updating this policy and the app's Play Store listing.
